Creamy Garlic Herbed Spaghetti
1 packet spaghetti
4 tbsp butter
2-3 fresh basil leaves
7 pieces of sundries tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced & divided
2 tbsp flour
11/2 cups of milk
1 packet button mushrooms sliced
Salt, pepper & oregano to taste
3 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp grated red cheddar cheese
1) Pasta : Cook pasta as per the packet instructions. Set aside with little olive oil to prevent sticking.
2) Mushrooms: Put 2 tbsp butter in a pan, add garlic & cook for a minute till it’s fragrant. Add mushrooms & cook it for 5 minutes with chopped basil leaves & sundried tomatoes. Cook till it’s golden brown & softened. Keep aside
3) Sauce: Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter to a pan & melt over with a medium heat. Add garlic & sauté until fragrant. Add the flour & oregano & keep stirring till it’s cooked. Add the milk slowly, whisk to incorporate. Let the mixture simmer until thickened. Add salt & pepper as per your taste.
4) Assemble: Toss the sauce, pasta a & mushrooms together. Add olive oil & serve it with sharp red matured cheddar.
